You are well aware of how Telugu associations in the USA have sprung up in huge numbers and now it appears that some competition is emerging. Reports reveal the Telugu associations in Australia are becoming strong. With NRI Telugus at Australia in rich positions and willing to spend in the group, the organizations have become strong.
In the US, the same thing happened and TANA was formed. Later, it branched out to various entities such as NATA, NATS and many others. This also led to felicitation of many film artists, entertainment programs and other events. This culture is not there in any other country.
In UAE and Singapore, Telugu associations are there but events don't happen so grandly due to funds issue. But now, the second destination seems to be Australia as it is booming. Estimates reveal by 2016 they are going to hold events on par with USA. While it is not sure how much it will help Telugu people but for Tollywood it would be a golden opportunity to get more busier and make more money.
