Rahul Sankrityan, the director of Taxiwala joined hands with Natural Star Nani for Shyam Singha Roy. Sithara Entertainments bankrolling this project. 
As per the latest sources, the film will have a bit of fantasy touch and is set in the backdrop of old "Calcutta". They have erected some huge sets in the Aluminium factory in Hyderabad to have that replicate Old Calcutta areas. 

Reportedly, there will be three lead actresses in the film. Makers have finalized Sai Pallavi as one of them. Now they are considering Rashmika Mandanna and Nivetha Thomas for the other two lead actress roles.
