When Virat came to bat Sunil Gavaskar was in the commentary box and said, "Virat practiced with Anushka in the lockdown". However somehow these statements were misinterpreted in the media as " Inhone lockdown me to bas Anushka ki gendon ki practice ki hai, usse to kuch nahi hona hai". Therefore virat fans are taking a toll on Sunil and they are even asking BCCI to sack him from commentary. This issue got even bigger as Anushka herself responded on this. She took to her Instagram account to give a reply to Sunil Gavaskar. Anushka wrote, " Over the years Sunil have respected the private lives of every cricketer while commentating on the game. Don’t you Mr Sunil think you should have equal amount of respect for me? The things still don’t change for me in 2020 too. When will I stop getting dragged into cricket and stop being used to pass sweeping statements?”We have to see whether Sunil Gavaskar replies to Anushka's statements or not.
