Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur 'Jyothi Lakshmi' released world wide today. The film has garnered a lot of hype and anxiety among the audience. The film is a female-centric romance drama, which revolves around the life of a prostitute. Lets see about the performance of Jyothi Lakshmi.

Story:
Software Engineer Satya (Satya) is in search of a call girl who he fell in love on first sight. After searching for few days he finally succeeds in meeting her. She is Jyothi Lakshmi (Charmme) who is a prostitute that enjoys her profession. Satya convinces her to elope with him and they get married. Jyothi Lakshmi's past keeps on haunting her and she decided to put an end to it.

Performances:
Charmme who has won few awards in her career so far has done well in getting into the skin of the character. Her body language and expressions are right on the money. She is equally impressive after she turns rebellion against the system. Satya is alright as the male lead. Most of the actors other than Brahmanandam are not so familiar faces. They did alright. Brahmi is fine as a sex addict. Sampoornesh, Krishnudu and few other actors did a cameo scene during the climax.

Technical Excellence:
Music is by Sunil Kashyap and it has a couple of numbers that youngsters might like. All other departments are okay while Puri Jagannadh presents the novel of Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy in a way that suits the sense and sensibilities of working class women.

Charmme

Drawbacks:

Music

Analysis:
Jyothi Lakshmi is a bold film which has a message. But the message is dragged out too much. Charmme’s power packed performance and a decent first half are huge assets. This film will draw huge crowds in the B and C centers but is just a one time watch for those who seek popcorn entertainment.

Verdict: Watch It only for Charmme.
